Edwin Collins aka DJ Energy was born in Rotterdam in the year 1970. He got infected with the DJ vibes at the age of 16, and started spinning at local clubs and schoolparty’s. Through a long list of clubs in the area of Rotterdam, but also international clubs in Indonesia and Spain he became a resident DJ of the former club The Boat Barocca. Nowadays DJ Energy spins allover the country, and sometimes around Europe too. DJ Energy’s style is (tech) house, club and trance.

I first started djing around about 12 years ago when i was 17. It was by chance i knew a dj in a bar and one week he asked me if i could do his set for him as he couldnt make it and gave me a brief lesson on what to do and from there i was hooked. I started getting sets playing hip hop and garage in Doncaster and sheffield and then discovered speed garage in 2001 and then started playing that. During that time myself and 2 others started a label called Gridlockd Records which became one of the biggest labels in the scene in a very short time as we were the only label making original tracks. Fast forward 12 years and in that time i played the first bassline set on bbc 1xtra, put together a compilation for ministry of sound (Maximum bass 2007) And had tracks signed to mos and all around the world (Universal). I decided in 2008 that i wasnt gonna pidgeonhole myself to one genre and went self employed as a dj and tutor. Around that time i got my own show on local legal radio station sine fm and my weekend vibes show did so well they moved me from 2-3 sat afternoon to 6-8 saturday night the show before dj legend graeme park. Nowadays i do a show called the history of Dance music on sine fm 102.6fm in Doncaster or www.sinefm.com worldwide every tuesday evening 8pm-10pm.

I'm a musician/producer from Holland. I've been making music for some 15 years now. First I played in a band on the drums. Shortly thereafter I started recording the band’s first demo-tape on 4-track tape-recorder. Then I bought my first synthesizer and drum-computer and began my first own productions in 1995. From 1996 to 2006 i recorded numerous tracks and collaborated with other musicians. Then it became quiet for 2 years. But after collecting samples and loops for 15 years I began making my own music.

Past: Roland made his first experiences with “producing music” in Germany the early 90's. The equipment: Good old Amiga and some tracker. Inspired by Kraftwerk, Westbam, etc. That was the moment who set the ball rolling. Infected by the Music-Virus especially the Trance genre, he also spent every free minute to stay behind the turntables. The local vinyl store was his 2nd home for couple of years and the first adress to stay updated and to be deeply involved into the scene. Around 1998 Roland was guest DJ in some clubs around his hometown. In this time he formed an hobby to art. 2011: After some Years dealing with life and a timeout from music he found way back on track with new ideas and projects. Actually you can find him as Guest-DJ on several Radiostations. Radio Hitec (Netherlands) is one of his most common & favorite Stations where you can also listen to his latest productions: Deep Down Below, Fading out reality, Behind the light, Simply Me (etc). Present: On the way up to keep people dancing! May it be with new own productions or performing at events. Massive success at the big outdoor festival "Slokdarm Festival 5 2012" (Veghel-NL) with thousands of celebrating party peoples.
